Looking for an authentic New England experience on a Saturday afternoon in the spring or fall? Visit Sawmill Park in Ledyard, CT and see an original 19th century water-powered up and down sawmill sawing local timber into lumber.
In addition to log sawing demonstrations, there is a blacksmith shop, shingle mill, gristmill, ice harvesting tools and the Sawmill Park and picnic area around the mill pond. Learn about our exhibits.
Group Visits to the sawmill. Schools or other groups can contact the Ledyard Historic District Commission via Ledyard Town Hall (860-464-8740) to arrange group visits during hours the mill is not normally open. Or contact the mill volunteers at email@example.com.
